Roger, what I found fasinating is that you went for two weeks and not stopping to talk to anybody!!?? How many times in your younger years, did I turn around and you were gone. I’d look back and you would be talking to somebody..old, young, it just didn’t matter. Where’s Roger?
Rick and I had the opportunity to “drive” Death Valley several years ago and found such beauty. We understand the name and why…
By the way, congradulations to you and Erin… I will look forward to meeting her in October.

Dude your awesome! Death Valley is one of my fave places to visit & camp. I learned to love the desert as a young boy when my family moved to nearby Trona in the mid-sixties. Me and a pal did some hikes around the area and I found the solitude to be a sort of excitement, although never more than a day at a time.
I admire your courage and commitment. I’m sure the journey will remain in your soul for a lifetime.
I must confess I’m more than a little jealous…

I’ve heard more than once of the beauty and peace that exsist in death valley. No doubt you have experienced it in all its glory 110%. Looking forward to seeing you in October.
