In Spring 2008, I set out on a first-of-its-kind journey spanning the entire length of Death Valley National Park, the largest in the contiguous United States. This solo, cross-country trek stretched 225 miles while traversing nearly a dozen different valleys and mountain ranges. This experience offered me immense solitude and silence, while imprinting unforgettable images in my heart.
